is a Baltimore, Maryland native whose culinary vision, community focus, and commitment to excellence have shaped her into one of the city’s most influential emerging restaurateurs. She is the co owner of Headquarters, a women led culinary collective, and the owner of Gorgeous Gourmet, established January 2025, where her signature dish, The Gorgeous Hen, and her soulful gourmet creations have become part of the region’s culinary conversation.
Her journey began long before her own storefront. In 2015, Katie Marie aided in opening the kitchen at Capital Lounge and rose to the role of Managing Partner. For nearly a decade, she served both the business and the surrounding community with dedication, leadership, and consistency. In January 2025, she transitioned fully into her own path as an independent chef and entrepreneur, building brands that reflect her heart, her legacy, and her creative intuition.
In 2016, she penned her first book, Elevation Has a Price Tag, a reflection of her growth, resilience, and personal journey. She is currently preparing to release her second book in September 2026, continuing to expand her voice as a storyteller and thought leader.
Katie Marie became a ServSafe Instructor and Proctor in 2018, strengthening her foundation in culinary safety and education. While she is not a formally trained chef, her culinary foundation was shaped by the women in her family and refined through mentorship under Chef Demi, owner of Diamondz Events and Catering. She has become known for her ability to craft dishes that reflect depth, warmth, and soul.
Today, she stands as a chef, author, educator, and multi brand owner committed to nurturing her community through food, intention, and meaningful experiences. Her work continues to honor her upbringing, her family’s legacy, and her belief that food is a bridge to connection, healing, and elevation.
